History
It is the mid-nineties and the theater in Roermond is struggling. Van der Valk sees opportunities and decides, in consultation with the municipality, to take over the theater for a symbolic amount of 1 guilder. Shortly afterwards, the construction of a new hotel tower next to the theater begins. Now, almost 25 years later, TheaterHotel De Oranjerie hosts more than 100 performances every year. With a large hall that can accommodate more than 750 people, the theater in Roermond is one of the largest in North and Central Limburg. As a result, there are regularly major productions and famous names in the theater.
