Discover the zoo in Duisburg
The Duisburg zoo is located in North Rhine-Westphalia and has more than 280 animal species. The park is most known for its dolphinarium, one of the largest in Europe with different species of dolphins. Another great crowd puller is the koala house with an extensive Australia area.
Dolphins and fossa’s in Zoo Duisburg
In the Duisburg zoo a group of bottlenose dolphins perform in a spectacular dolphin show. The Orinoco dolphins can be found in the Rio Negro, a tropical hall where you can also find monkeys and birds. In the koala house you can admire the animal life of Australia, including kangaroos, wombats and koalas. The zoo is also known for its large group of fossa’s and the aquatorium. This building, with an outdoor area as well, is inhabited by rhinos and different monkey species including the gelada’s.
